We Offer
The Peter
James Centre in collaboration with the Deakin University School of Nursing
is offering financial support for one full time Bachelor of Nursing
(Honours) in 2006. The Peter James Centre/ Deakin partnership provides
an excellent opportunity for students who qualify for the honours program
to work in a supportive environment to combine their graduate year experience
with further study.
Who
We Are
Through
its Aged care and Rehabilitation program, the Peter James Centre provides
broad based programs to older adults across the continuum of care. The
School of Nursing at Deakin University provides a range of quality courses
that reflect current trends and evidence based practice in nursing.
Areas
of Interest
The support
we offer allows the student to undertake research in the area of ageing
and/or rehabilitation nursing with a focus on implementing and evaluating
strategies that enhance the quality of care for older adults as they
transect the continuum of care.
Our
Criteria
Pre
registration:
Completing
the final year of the Bachelor of Nursing and graduating in 2005
Mid credit point average at Levels 2 & 3
or
Post
registration:
Registered
nurse within 5 years of graduation
Completed Bachelor of Nursing or Bachelor of Nursing Studies
(Postregistration) with Mid credit point average
