 The
Haemodialysis Unit provides quality outpatient chronic Haemodialysis
for patients from the Eastern suburbs. It maintains a waiting list that
ensures an equitable access to the unit for patients from the 5 major
nephrology units in Melbourne. There is also availability for periodic
holiday dialysis.

Chronic Haemodialysis
- Occasional
Holiday dialysis (dependent on vacancy). Interstate patients have
reciprocal health benefits, as do overseas patients from New Zealand
and United Kingdom. Patients from other countries are welcome, however,
they will have to contact the unit for the current fee per treatment.
- Can
provide support and advice for inpatient (PJC) C.A.P.D.
- A short
course in Dialysis nursing (12 weeks) is run by the unit and integrated
with the care and operation of the unit
- Spacious
bright and quiet unit with picturesque outlook
- Television
and video unit and individual radios, available to all patients
- Catered
light meal on each shift
