Healesville & District Hospital provides a variety of inservice education programs to both Nursing and allied health staff. Most education programs are also open to other Eastern Health sites and local health service providers. Healesville & District Hospital is soon to be linked to the Rural Health Education Foundation providing interactive satellite programs covering a diverse array of health issues.

Nursing student placements are available for 3rd year preparation for registration, and 2nd year primary health care arranged through District Nursing Service and Yarra Valley Community Health Service.

Healesville & District Hospital offers staff the opportunity to diversify their skills in an environment that covers a wide variety of patient needs including:

Education programs provided within the hospital aim to cover all areas of nursing service provision. Healesville & District Hospital also offers financial support to staff wishing to attend education programs at large facilities.
