About our Service

Eastern Health Alcohol and Drug Service provides specialist treatment and advisory services for clients and their families in the Eastern Metropolitan Region. Clients can access a range of clinical services including counselling, (individual, group and family), forensic brokerage services and outpatient drug withdrawal services.

In addition, a residential alcohol and drug withdrawal program is offered at our inpatient unit, Wellington House.

The Eastern Health Alcohol and Drug Service staff consist of a multi-disciplinary team of medical, nursing and allied health professionals who can provide information, education and training sessions and consultancy to other health providers. Specialist clinical advice and secondary consultation is also available to General Practitioners, community health, hospital and community based services.
The Alcohol and Drug Service is part of the Eastern Health Mental Health Program and has direct linkages with the Adult, Child & Adolescent and Aged services.
