The Pre Admission Clinic has been established to assess and prepare patients undergoing elective surgery.

Services Provided

The Clinic endeavours to provide a holistic service to ensure elective surgery proceeds within optimal efficiency.

• Your general health will be assessed and so you will be at your healthiest for your surgery
• All relevant investigations will be performed to prevent delays on the day of your surgery
• You will receive information regarding your operation, anaesthetic and hospital stay
• Referrals can be initiated for any help you may require upon discharge
• Your stay in hospital may be shortened, by admitting you on the actual day of your surgery
• Referrals will be made to other specialists if necessary eg cardiologists
• Any questions you may have regarding your hospital stay can be answered
• Interpreters are available upon request
• Pre Admission staff welcome any enquiries

Staff

The Clinic is staffed by Doctors, Anaesthetists, Nurses and Allied Health personnel, who work together to meet your individual needs.

What’s New

The Pre Admission Clinic has recently expanded its service by providing additional Clinic sessions, so more patients are now given the opportunity to attend prior to their surgery.
