Where a complaint is made by a research participant, researcher or other interested person, this will be referred to the Chairperson in the first instance.

The Chairperson may involve the Committee to resolve the complaint.

If the complaint cannot be resolved, the complainant will be referred through the Hospital’s complaint resolution process.

Complaints by researchers

If any members of a research team wish to complain about any aspect of a research project, the way it is being conducted, or about the handling/review of a project by the Human Research Ethics Committee, they should contact the Chairperson of the Committee, in the first instance.
