Description	The clinic accepts referrals for initial assessment for plastic surgery, hand and reconstructive surgery including skin cancers. Urgent, semi-urgent and elective surgery is performed. Paediatric referrals are welcomed. All referrals are triaged and waiting times for non urgent appointments is several months. Suspected malignancies and trauma patients are given priority. The clinic provides a hand therapy service. Cosmetic surgery is only performed if function is impaired. Patients with a BMI<30 will be assessed for breast reduction but the waiting list for the procedure is very long.
Investigations to be sent with the referral	Copies of any relevant pathology or imaging reports. Imaging films or CDs should be bought by the patient to the clinic appointment

Other	Wrist injuries should be referred to the Orthopaedic service. Ultrasound is often not useful for assessment of hand problems and when required is best arranged by the clinic. Prior biopsy of small skin cancers is best avoided.
