Description

Clinic for the assessment, investigation, management and review of patients with Haematological diseases including Leukaemia, Lymphoma, Multiple Myeloma and Myeloproliferative disorders.

The co-ordination of investigation of new Malignant Disease.

Patients with suspected Lymphoma may be referred directly as surgical Lymph Node biopsy may not be necessary.

Investigations to be sent with the referral

Copies of results of any pathology or imaging performed.
Imaging films or CDs should be bought by the patient to the clinic appointment.

The Haematology Oncology service provides comprehensive multidisciplinary care utilising, skilled nurses, dieticians, social workers, palliative care specialists, physiotherapists and occupational therapists.

The Haematology Oncology Unit actively participates in research and patients may have opportunities to join clinical trials
