Description |
Women are expected to have 3 ‘schedule’ visits with the Birralee Doctors at Booking, 28, 34, 41 weeks.
Birralee Antenatal clinic choices for care:
- GP Shared care – where the women sees her GP and comes to Birralee for the ‘schedule’ visits
- Team Low Risk Shared Care – with Midwives or Residents
- WINGS (Women in need of guidance and support) - Midwifery shared care for women with high social needs, including drug, alcohol and mental health issues.
- KYM (Know your own midwife) – Caseload Midwife who cares for the women during the antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal periods.
- Consultant-only Clinics – Consultant-only care for women with high risk pregnancies, this is determined by the consultant at booking or if subsequently clinically indicated. Pregnant women cannot choose this as an option of care, it is consultant chosen.

FBE, Group and AB, MSU, Hep B, VDRL, Rubella, HIV

Combined Screening, 11-12 wk ultrasound.
Pap test
Vitamin D, Thalassaemia, Sickle Cell Anaemia
