The Speech Pathology department at Box Hill Hospital is a small clinical department. Main caseload comprises of hospital inpatients with communication and/or swallowing difficulties. There are very limited outpatient services.

The department performs Modified Barium Swallow procedures (swallowing videofluoroscopy) on appropriate patients. Some limited outpatient videofluoroscopy services are available.

In general, no referrals are taken from GPs or the general community.
