Inpatient Unit: 2 North
Patients are admitted with the following conditions:
- Acute renal failure

Chronic renal failure [pre-dialysis]

Hypertension

Renovascular disease e.g. for Renal artery stenting

Nephrotic Syndrome

Acute nephritic syndrome

Complicated urinary infection

Renal tubular and electrolyte disturbances
Acute vasculitis including SLE
Outpatient Services
- Friday afternoon: General Renal Medicine
Attended by Drs Wilson, Scurrah and Roberts
- Tuesday afternoon : Hypertension
Attended by Dr Wilson
Renal Biopsy
This is provided in conjunction with Medical Imaging Department
as an Outpatient service. Referrals either via Outpatient clinic or Renal registrar.
Inpatient consultative service
Referrals are made via Renal Registrar. The renal physicians provide a 24 hour roster.
Emergency service
24 hour roster. This is currently provided by Drs Wilson, Roberts and Fraenkel.
