The Box Hill Orthopaedic department is associated with medical education at both an undergraduate and postgraduate level.

The two units take part in 5th Year MBBS teaching via sessions in Outpatients, and also have attachments through the core surgery rotation in 6th year.

There is a teaching session on Friday mornings (7:30am) for registrars, residents and students. This includes a tutorial, x-ray presentations and a Grand Round.

There is also a lecture program run weekly in the emergency department for interested staff and students in the A & E Dept. Tutorial Room 1:30 - 2:00pm. Check relevant noticeboards for dates and details.

For consultants and registrars there is a journal club monthly (1st Thursday at 8pm), and a clinical audit meeting monthly (2nd Tues/Thurs after each unit's respective outpatients clinic at 3pm).
