Chinese Resource Centre

Birralee Maternity Service, Box Hill Hospital was opened in April 1999. It is our commitment to meet the needs of our clients and to provide the best service and care. Health information is an important aspect of this service. Birralee Chinese Resource Centre provides free written and audio-visual information on childbirth, parenting and other health issues to our clients with Chinese backgrounds.

Poster exhibitions on various health themes will be regularly on display at the centre.

There is an extensive collection of books, pamphlets and magazines for reading in the centre. Most pamphlets are free for collection.

The centre provides audiovisual material, such as CD, VCD, cassette tapes, and video tapes. You are welcome to enjoy using the equipment in the centre.

Information pamphlets are available in languages other than Chinese. Resources aimed at other key cultural groups will also be developed, making the Birralee Resource Centre a truly multicultural centre.
