More than fifty years after it was established, Box Hill Hospital remains true to its original aims ... to provide the best medical care for the community.

Today, thanks to state-of-the-art equipment, improved anaesthetics, clinical and research, better drugs, enhanced patient care and Hospital-in-the-Home programs, Box Hill Hospital is treating more people than ever.  Waiting lists are manageable and services are steadily increasing to meet community needs.
 

Box Hill Hospital is two hospitals in one:  a community hospital equipped to look after the health needs of Melbourne's eastern suburbs; and a University teaching hospital training tomorrow's health professionals. (The Hospital is affiliated with Monash, La Trobe and Deakin Universities.)

Clinical excellence and the dedication of staff have been recognised through the Hospital's maintaining the highest level of accreditation from the independent Australian Council on Health Care Standards.

The Hospital is a member of Eastern Health, one of Melbourne's Metropolitan Health Services.
