Victorian Government Health Market Validation Program (Health MVP)

The Victorian Government has announced the establishment of a new program which supports the development of technology solutions to challenges facing the public health sector.

The Health Market Validation Program (Health MVP) is a $15 million competitive grants program that encourages innovation in healthcare by supporting the pre-commercial development of innovative healthcare-related products, processes or services by small to medium enterprises (SMEs) working in partnership with Victorian public health agencies.

The Health MVP is now open, inviting all Victorian health-focussed public sector entities to describe their health related needs in the form of Technology Requirement Specifications (TRS).  Applications will close on 31 January 2012.

Further detail about the Health MVP, including guidelines and how to apply, can be found at:  http://www.business.vic.gov.au/hmvp

The Eastern Health Office of Research and Ethics will coordinate applications for Eastern Health.

If you wish to discuss your TRS idea, please contact Prof David Taylor (david.taylor@easternhealth.org.au).
